THE LANDING: SPLIT | TROGIR

Another alley..

After our landing into Split (SPU), another quaint airport around 11pm, we quickly grabbed our bags and headed to the exit to enter a sea of eager cab drivers looking for a fare. While we could have just said "yes" to 1 of the 10 that approached us... we ordered an Uber. #UberEverywhere

No, seriously...UBER IS EVERYWHERE - Uber is highly promoted in Croatia. You will even find Uber boats by ports as well.

In 10 mins or less, our ride came and we headed to our #Airbnb in the old town of Trogir. You will notice quite a bit from landing.

#1: Almost everyone speaks English

#2: Renting "Apartman's" are common. These are like renting apartments/hotel rooms for the night. Very very common.

#3: Most Apartman's connected to a restaurant.

Trogir, just outside the Old Gate.

Which brings me to my next point: After messaging back and forth with my Airbnb host to find where "Capo Restaurant" (aka our airbnb) is, I've learned it is behind the restaurant in one of many alleyways. A server greeted me and promptly took our bags to check us in. Needless to say, I was confuzzled at first.
* why is a server (with an apron) checking me in?*πŸ€·πŸ½β€β™€οΈ

Hennywho,  WE LOVED OUR BNB! It was gorgeous from the smart designs, hi-tech appliances and the stone wall aesthetics. Perfect for 2 for our 1 night stay before officially starting our tour. We asked for food suggestions, but like most of these darling towns, businesses and restaurants close quite early (in comparison to my New York City life). The server told us just that, however the kitchen was still open and can whip us up a pizza. SOLD! UH DUH.

NOM NOM NOM!

In 10 mins, there was PIZZA. πŸ• The cheese was perf. 🀀 You'll come to learn that pizza was a common meal throughout our trip.

After long, long day of travel, we called it a night so we can truly start our adventures the next day. Phew! πŸ˜΄
